Chloé, founded in Paris by Egyptian Gaby Aghion in 1952, took lead in the first ready-to-wear clothing line. Straying away from the stiff and rigid fashion trends that were in place, Chloé introduced soft and luxurious fabrics that were sophisticated and unique. The name “Chloé” was chosen for its feminine and youthful appeal to match the women the brand attracted.
Fast forward about 50 years and Chloé’s popularity was still growing! With Chloé’s denim and jersey lines increasingly popular, created director, Pheobe Philio helped to launch the main line’s little sister, See By Chloé in 2001. A little more drama, a little more casual, and a little more affordable. See By Chloé brought glamour to the everyday look.
